AAARGH!!!! I missed the gig!   Useless I know, but I had to head out of town (ok ok, yes, a boy was involved - but he's definately coming to the next proto gig).

At least my friend Sam went.... he reckons Proto completely kicked ass!!

Was a power set apparently, and such a cool venue! but the crowd just wasnt there.  Not enough people.  I guess thats what happens when you play in summer, but come on promoters....get the word out!

The other bands were ok too.  Sam reckons the drummer from Proto was amazing though. 

Anyway, dont wanna talk more about this gig, coz i wasnt there! But the next one..........

How lucky is this? A friend of mine (thanks Jake!!) is also in a band. Theyre pretty cool actually - The Tigers - check them out if you can.  Will put a link to thier site soon as they get one.

What a cool gig last night! Had a awesome time!! Protosoul played 3rd, out of 4 bands.  All the bands were cool, but Proto were brilliant.  The last band (cant remember their name?!) were also kind funky, although I didnt catch tooo much of their set.

Oh yeah - Proto played mostly new stuff! Seeking Silence (the song everyone knows) didnt even make it. Weirdly enough, I dont think anyone cared - the new songs were really good.... a little bit heavier than some of the others, but still got that groove that makes you just wanna move! :)  The opening track was a complete ripper, the everyone completely stopped talking and stuff and were like totally captivated. 

ANNOYINGLY my digital camera was acting all weird, so I got like NO usable pics.  BUT, i did get one of the drummer (kyle) afterwards :

Anyway, awesome night.

Hi everyone.  i've just seen on the proto site that theres a gig this Friday... its at "Storm" nightclub on leicester square.  never been there but it looks interesting, should be quite cramped as it doesnt look that big.
